About Dr. Bethany Hampton

Dr. Bethany Hampton is a licensed psychologist practicing independently for over 20 years in Addison, Texas.

I trained in cognitive-behavior therapy under the supervision of Dr. Robin Jarrett in the Psychosocial Research and Depression Clinic at U.T. Southwestern in Dallas for over 10 years specializing in the treatment of depression and anxiety. I have additional training in working with diverse populations and welcome all people to my practice.

In my earlier professional life, I also served as an academic psychologist teaching psychology to graduate students specializing in the supervision of clinical practice as well as marital and family therapy.  I have dozens of publications and presentations to professional and non-professional audiences focusing on gender issues and other clinical topics.

I have been married for over 20 years and have two almost-grown children.  I struggled with infertility problems and am fortunate to have birthed two children with the assistance of infertility treatments. I have first-hand experience with developmental and parenting issues informing my work with clients. In my leisure time I enjoy practicing yoga, traveling with family, and playing Mah Jongg with friends.
